The Twin Cities Anti-War Committee began in December 1998, with 13 people who committed civil disobedience to protest the bombing of Iraq. We educate ourselves and the community about the injustices of U.S. foreign policy.

The mission of the Anti-War Committee is to organize a broad-based peace and social justice movement which stands in solidarity with those communities, here and abroad, who are unjustly and cruelly affected by U.S. foreign policies. Our values are manifest in our core principles of self-determination for all oppressed peoples and countries, and peace through justice.

We meet Thursdays at 7pm in our office building, at 1313 5th St SE (room 102A or 102B), Minneapolis, Minnesota. New members are always welcome.

Visitors and volunteers can also stop by during our offices hours: Thursdays, 5 to 7 pm 1313 5th St SE, Mpls, room 213.

Protest: Tell Congress to Stop Funding Iraq War & Occupation!

Thurs 5/15 @ 4:30pm @ front of Sen. Norm Coleman's office, 2550 University Ave. West, St. Paul (at the intersection of University Ave & Highway 280).
The war in Iraq is currently costing U.S. taxpayers $12 billion each month. Soon the U.S. Congress will be considering an additional appropriation of up to $172 billion dollars for the continuation of the U.S. war and occupation. The reasons given by the U.S. government for the Iraq war have long ago been shown to be lies and deceptions. We must send a clear message to Congress that we want them to stop funding this illegal and immoral war, to bring the troops home now, and to let the people of Iraq determine their own future. Initiated by: Twin Cities Peace Campaign–Focus on Iraq and Women Against Military Madness FFI: TCPC at 612-522-1861 or WAMM at 612-827-5364
