The MN AWC organizes in the streets against imperialism, political repression, and U.S. aid to Israel. Based in the Twin Cities. Founded in 1998.
What we've accomplished between the first Anti War Action Network conference in Febuary 2025 and the second conference in July 2026! Boycott, Sanctions & Divest! We will not stop, we will not rest!
Minnesota Anti-War Committee has identified approximately $5.4 billion (of the MN State Board of Investment's managed $149.7 billion total) invested in public assets belonging to entities complicit in and/or profiting from Israel’s apartheid regime. We are leading a state-wide campaign to get MN to Divest! To get the most up-to-date numbers on how MN has invested in apartheid and genocide, go to divestmn.com.
We are a progressive - not an isolationist - organization. We value our communities here and abroad and want our tax dollars being spent to protect people not to kill them!
Movement-building is a core value of the MN AWC. We work in coalition with other activist groups to build a broader movement for social justice, and because we see the struggle for peace and justice abroad as being linked with the struggles here at home.
Nationally, we are a part of the Anti-War Action Network.
Locally, we are active in the following coalitions:
Free Palestine Coalition
The MN Anti War Committee took a delegation of 30 MInnesotans to the Anti War Action Network's annual conference in July to network with other organizers, present and to deepen our skills!
The MN Anti-War Committee was founded in 1998 by members of the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador to address the expanding nature of U.S. imperialism. We have worked to end U.S. militarism and war in Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and Colombia. In 2010, we were raided by the FBI and many of our members were subpoenaed to testify at the grand jury, but our members are grand jury resisters and refused to cooperate with the witch hunt on our own movement! Our longest running campaign has been to end U.S. aid to Israel and to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
